- The European Court of Auditors hereby informs you that Special Report No 8/2009 Networks of excellence and Integrated projects in Community Research policy: did they achieve their objectives? has just been published.
- It seems to me that, to ensure independence, a strict observance of the Court's values of independence, objectivity, impartiality, professionalism, adding value, excellence and efficiency is essential.
- In the Court's view, there should be no specific rules applying to Networks of Excellence and, therefore, Article 35 should be deleted (see also paragraph 59).
- Therefore the court rejects the claims of Piperno Aronne... ...over his Excellence Marquis Onofrio Del Grillo and condemns him to pay for the legal costs of this trial.
- Independence, integrity, impartiality, excellence and professionalism are the core values of the Court of Auditors and, in my opinion, we need to underline and uphold them.
- With regard to lump sums for whole actions, including those proposed for Networks of Excellence in Article 35, the Court recommends a more cautious approach (see also paragraphs 78 to 79).
